Yeah now you know how I felt I also didn't get what you meant exactly...

You said you want to have email addresses hidden by default, I told you that SMF does that.
If you want better replies you need to provide better details

by default the admin can view all email addresses, by default the users may see an envelope icon in the users profile. if the envelope icon is visible then the user will only see a form to email the person they are attempting, they will not see the email address if you are SMF 2.0+.
