Is SMF 2 fully functional with MariaDB 10.0?

Whenever my server wants to do updates, it wants to change the default database system to MariaDB 10.0, so I always have to opt for MySQL.
Is SMF 2 fully compatible with MariaDB?

In theory, but it's never been fully tested.
