we dont like topics to be bumped, if you replied to an old topic or made an off topic reply we have the right to remove them.

yaax

They were not old topics!
You have red warning when posting on old topics 120 days old and more - I checked it was not there....

an old topic does not mean it has to be over 120 days old.

yaax

So how can I know this is an old one?

The two posts which were removed were from the Hosting section.  That part of the forum is heavily moderated because there are a lot of spammers or bogus members who use it to try to spam their hosting services.  As a result, topics which are seen as having reached their natural conclusion, even if they are only a month or so old, often have replies deleted if the comments being added are perceived as bumping in any way.

More widely, bumping old topics on more active boards, such as support, is also frowned upon, owing to the speed at which those boards move.  As a general rule of thumb, therefore, the more active a board on the forum is, the more likely it is that posting in old topics will be moderated.

Usually, it's just common sense. If the thread is over 2 to 3 weeks old and the original problem hasn't been resolved, I'd say it's still available for responses that apply specifically to the problem. If the original question has been answered, then let it go.

For those that should be open to new responses, keep in mind Illori's comment about your response being off-topic or completely not helpful.

As I said, it's really just common sense.
