hi guys, i just bought another domain name and am using it for redirection like a nickname.

i have only changed the Server Settings Forum Title.

BUT what if i wanted to change all my Linux file references for a TOTAL name change ?

i do not have the inclinination and energy to do it BUT was curious if you knew of any tools, perhaps one for the database and one for the server config files ?

i'm expecting a "too late" now response but would LOVE to hear what you think.

thanks ... i am more worried about internal post links in too many threads.

... BUT the server side is not easy, either.

i think i will stick with the nickname but will start using it instead of the original, because it is easier to type, too.

Internal links are referenced with $scripturl, which is updated when you run repair_settings.php, so they should all work at the new domain.

No, sir osis... He means linking which are in posts...   And yes, you would have to do a direct replace in the database smf_messages table
