I need some direction on what I'm doing wrong.  I have SMF installed under Joomla! and everything is working great. I have modified some files to get the board looking the way I want.  Here's the kicker, whenever I'm logged out, I can view any of the boards.  Can someone point me in the right direction on setting the permissions or is there a feature/setting I need to mess with?

Regarding the search you can always use entire site search.

for permission go to admin > permissions > click modify on guests and set the permissions.

What I mean't to say was that guests can't see the boards.

Hi,

Try

Admin Panel/Manage Boards/Manage Permissions and uncheck the 'access' box for Unregistered Guests on all the boards you don't want guests to view.

Ahh..  Since I imported these boards from XOOPSBB, the permissions at the board level were not set!
