Upgrading with a new hosting package

Hey guys,

Quick question. I'm currently running 1.1.21 and am stalling on doing the upgrade to 2.0.11

So the situation has come up that I'm hosting with GoDaddy and just today upgraded to the cpanel hosting package. Since in theory I have to migrate everything over, would it make sense to just do a fresh install of 2.0.11?

Basically, if I fresh install 2.0.11 and then import the old database, would it be that easy?

No. There are databas changes between 1.1.x and 2.0.x

You should either do the upgrade in place now and then move over the 2.0.11 install or move the 1.1.21 install, confirm it is working and then do the upgrade
