Mr. Jinx

After the patch update to 2.0.12, some file versions are reported wrong.
For example:
Calander.php has been patched to version 2.0.11, but checking against current versions it reports it should be 2.0.12.
Same goes for Display.php, ManagePosts.php, Recent.ph, Subscriptions-PayPal.php

Same issue with my forum as well. Also the date on the SMF copyright did not change as the Changelog said it should.

In my case the date is correctly set.

Same here, + Post.template.php, Search.template.php, ManagePaid.english.php, index.english.php. And still in 2014.

But all seems to work well.

Those files are not modified with this patch. I don't get version errors for those files. Maybe something went wrong with another patch?
index.english.php should be at 2.0.12 and is also reported ok for me. If not, then that file didn't modify, that's probably the reason why it reports '2014' for you.

are you seeing this as below ? if so, my system is fine - i am not affected (and i have 108 mods on):

SMF File   Your Version   Current Version

SMF Package   SMF 2.0.12   SMF 2.0.12
Sources   2.0.10   2.0.12
Default Templates   2.0.12   2.0.12

The configuration of my Linux VPS (SMF 2.0 with 160+ mods & some assorted manual tweaks) can be found here and notes on my mods can be found here (warning: those links will take you to a drug related forum). My (House) music DJ dedication page is here

Mr. Jinx

Yes that is the problem, look at Sources: your version is reported as 2.0.10, but should be 2.0.12

aegersz

ah ha, so it is ! - i didn't notice it because the checking routine didn't complain.

I just marked by previous post in red.

Yes, probably a few from earlier. But the main bunch came with .12. All passed tests, 1 skipping.
Manually edited index.english.php into showing 2016, so that one is 'fixed' :O)

I fixed the Recent.php version issue, next time your site fetches files (or you can run manually), it will pull down the proper info for Recent.php.

As for the others version mismatch versions, those are being discussed.  What we will most likely end up doing is correct the detailed versions to give you the correct versions and change this for the next release.

Let's mark this as Solved :)

Was the same here.

ww.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=548969.msg3893306#msg3893306

Was the same here.

Now I update the database on localhost to 2.0.11 or giher [2.0.12]

It is working again at localhost, live forum the same. Will update and confirm.

UPDATE;

I see now that it is a little different.

The live forum had the exactly the same symptoms, and by not changing anything on it, it went to;

And this I find awkward [I did not touch it. There is only one Site Admin and this is me. I don't lend my account]

Now, the localhost forum had the same symptoms, and now it went back.

I was in a hurry, seeing;

Versie-informatie:
Forumversie: SMF 2.0.11
Huidige SMF-versie: [object HTMLElement]
(meer details)

Back to;

Versie-informatie:

Made me believe it was solved by upgrading the database to a more recent version.

But Sources reports 2.0.10 on localhost, and the long list above is back to;

would you please stop cross posting the same wall of text across multiple threads?

especially a thread which is already resolved and marked as solved.

Your issue seems to come down to the fact that you are basically confused about how to upgrade....

I'm sorry. I feel like it was okay to continue on something that is similar.

I believe I haven't cross posted anything. It is just the my previous message in this topic.

So I need to start a new topic next time, is that true?
