Help Karma Images

Is it possible to change the users Karma display from- say- +5 to display 5 of the same green image? When the user's karma is in the negatives, it would display a red image instead. I know this can be done, but is there any way to put a limit on how many images are displayed? Eg. When the user's Karma reaches anywhere above +5 or -5, the post display shows only five images anyway.
