Upgraded from 2.0.11 to 2.0.12 and our "stars" have disappeared.

As a "reward" for posting, my members get either a number of "blobs" assigned {theme URL}/images/star.gif or, for more than several thousand posts a number of "twirly stars" assigned {theme URL}/images/star30.gif.  This worked absolutely fine until I upgraded from 2.0.11 to 2.0.12 but now the twirly stars are showing as asterisks (*).  I do not run any modifications to the normal software releases.

Any ideas?

Problem solved. 

When I looked in Filemanager, the file is there and is visible in a browser in cPanel.  The file permissions on that file are exactly the same as "star.gif" which is the other image showing.  However, if I go to that image directly in a browser, it says it doesn't exist.

I downloaded the image from filemanager to my computer and then uploaded it right back, overwriting the original one, and it works now.
