Spam Guests creating huge error logs

Mr Edd...   interesting that it works... but that is wrong. That should not be the .htaccess used in the root of your forum.

As alreayd stated, your .htaccess should read

order deny,allow
deny from 91.200.
deny from 91.222.
allow from all

it should not include the files definition lines and doe snot need the *

Okay I missunderstood. I copied and pasted the above into my file directly on the server using FileZilla.

Be interesting to see what happens.

They are back...  Only minutes after changing the htaccess file they are back...

This is just three of em.  so now what do I do???

Just copied and pasted what I had typed and its stopped again.  In just that few minutes 9 spammers from that 91 IP address got in again.

So now what do I do?

I copied and pasted it into the root of my forum using FileZilla and already the guests list is diminishing. down to only one now.

Check the offending bot ip's and add only the two (or three) needed number blocks, for example 91.200."

The ip examples was only examples :O)
In your case it would be

order deny,allow
deny from 91.213.
deny from 91.207.
allow from all
