i already have the anonymous posts mod but am in need of a twist.
the ability for me the admin to see the poster
not sure if that mod can simply be tweaked?

i see there is a plugin that fits my needs but cant get it installed wo breaking the board

My point is what are you trying to achieve with the hidden poster deal? Is it actually an intentional feature to allow "anonymous" posting, or is it to achieve some other purpose in a roundabout way?

That mod installs just fine on a clean installation.., which means that some other mod(s) are interfering with your installation .
