I proceeded to a brand new installation of 2.0.12 that worked fine BUT when I tried to connect to "admin" in my forum I got a "database error" message with no precision.

Second I proceeded to another new installation (after cleaning thoroughly the 1st one and destroying the database) and I clicked on "your newly installed forum" and got logged in as admin BUT
when clicking on "logout" I got the hereafter message :

Incorrect string value: '''' for function inet_aton
File: C:\wamp64\www\test\Sources\Subs.php
Line: 2653

And then nothing worked anymore
Thanks for your help
I join screen captures stating my version of windows and another one stating versions of apache, PHP, MySQL and so on.

it is possible you have an IPv6 address. SMF 2.0 does not support that. there is a mod you can install to add that support.

I had an IPv6 address, but now that I disabled IPv6 in windows problems remains, what else ?

Please could you make the captcha a bit more readable or make the "listen to the letters" work ?

it is related to IPv6 setup inside the WAMP itself. open your httpd.conf then find this and comment out;
Listen [::0]:80

Thx, now it works fine, for others : just remind to relaunch your http server after modifying your conf file.
