i'm in the process of putting together a new forum using smf 2.0.12 and the japanese red theme
with the smf gallery as the sole plug in installed as yet,

all is working fine with the exception of the menu bar, in which 2 of the buttons are displaying a question mark,
but when clicked on the buttons do what they are supposed to do,

this only happens when viewed on a mobile device, and all the buttons display correctly when viewed on a desktop,
the 2 buttons in question are the "help" button, and the "gallery" button,

can anyone tell me what needs changing to get these buttons working please ? (bearing in mind that i know next to nothing about php and how it works :( )

Hi Jozone,

That is happening because the SMF Gallery mod itself is not responsive and as a result it is breaking the responsiveness of Japanese Red. Japanese Red is only responsive for the default (CURVE) theme settings and responsive mods.

You will have to modify SMF Gallery to make it responsive. I do not believe there is a responsive gallery already designed for SMF.

thanks for the info :)
that would explain things then ! and also why the other responsive themes i tried as well, had similar problems :(
as for having to modify  smf gallery i'm afraid that is well beyond my cababilities

You are welcome. Sorry I can't help more. You could try to contact the mod author and see if they are working on a responsive version. You could also request help in the Help Wanted board. http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=50.0
