What security features should I enable in simple machines forum.

Paranoid about being hacked.

Still learning cpanel.

I enabled hotlink protection on cpanel.

I upgraded to the latest version of simple machines (2.0.13)

I chose a complicated password.

I enabled the spam and bot controls to prevent spambots.

Is there anything else I should do?

My forum has no important files or financial transactions I don't plan on it being big plus there is no financial information stored.

-Thx

first of all...   CAPTCHA and security questions do not protect against hacking...    they protect against spammers.

as for protection from hackers... just keep up-to date.

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

If your running the server yourself, make sure to keep your OS up to date and also lock down any ports that aren't being used.

And if your self hosting I would be more concerned about server and php configuration than I would SMF. If you're on managed hosting then don't sweat it your host will handle it.
