weird HTML and BB code inserted into form posts

Hello,

I am having an issue on my forum. There is an intermittent problem when members post, Especially if they cut and past a picture link.

When they post the thread, the forum will insert all of this weird code. It is usually font code or it will take part of the IMG code off and add font code.

Can you all help me out

Those are bbc tags.  From where are they copying the image links?  Do you have WYSIWYG editor enabled?

Hello yes I do have that editor enabled. It happens to regular posts as well like the one I posted above.

They copy them from 3rd party like photobuckt

Try disabling wysiwyg.  Did this start happening when you upgraded to 2.0.13?

Ok that worked but that stinks cause  Ilike the function of the editor.

Can I fix the editor to not have those bugs?

the bugs are not easily fixed, for this reason in SMF 2.1 the editor has been completely replaced.

Either that or don't use the current WYSIWYG editor. Not much else you can do. At one time there was a mod to replace the editor in 2.0.x but it had a number of issues as well (the mod, I mean).
