Possible to make your own downloads mod ?

Yes hello I am of need of help I was wondering if it was possible to code your own downloads thing instead of using the SMF download mod how ever I am not a very good coder I would like some help on this if possible or if someone can show me how to do this that would be great as you can see I am using a mod from SMF but I do not like it a friend of mine told me it was an old mod but anyways my site link http://simcityspeaks.us/index.php would be great to hear from someone.
