Installed but it just doesn't work!!

Okay, I am totally new at this and don't even know how to phrase my questions so that I don't look like a pratt...  but here we go anyway. I just tried to install a forum and when I get to the running it bit, all it comes up with is a single parenthesis... something like... this (actually, I just discovered it is a bullet on ie):

hxxp:www.sose.zapezy.com/bb/ [nonactive]

I am wondering if it could be the host that I am using or have I just done something wrong? Anyone had this problem before?

That is odd, it is coming up as a single parenthesis on firefox and a square bullet on ie with the "Powered by WeezyHost" at the bottom.

The plot thickens!
I will have to find another computer to try it with.

Yea its not showing for me either.  did you modify index.php?  i believe your host modified it to add their ads on it.  ask them if they can give you the code that you will add it manually.
