Hello,

I've tried to add into a message using html the code provided by an online games site to make the game playable into the message.

I made this before in other forum sistems, and i thought i could do it in SMF.

But i couldn't and i found this topic, i have added the html code beteewn the html bbcode tags, and still doesn't work.

Am i missing something? Thank you

Arantor

What code are you trying to use?

MULITRI

I'm trying to add a shockwave/flash game, some online games sites gives the code to embed their games in forum messages or any other web pages.

I got this same game working in my old forum, which is IPB, but i'm having problems to make it work in my SMF v.20.13

Below is the embed code of the game:

Is your forum HTTPS? Are you using a browser that actually supports Flash?

@Arantor: Yes, my forum runs on https and i have tested this problem with Chrome and Opera (both updated to lastest versions)

@Sir Osiris: whoa...it's a long read, let me take patience tomorrow, thanks for the link.

Basically, Flash is done.  A lot of newer browsers, especially mobiles, no longer support it and can't view Flash objects.  Had to stop using an excellent Flash mp3 player which I've had for years, and switched to html5 player.

Since your site is on https, the fact that your code, above uses http means that it will not display.
