Import MySQL backup from old ver DB, to new ver Install

I made a full site backup, including mysql (using CPanel) of a 1.0.5 install.

I want to setup a new install, newest version, same domain.  After I setup a new board, can I import the old 1.0.5 data?

Yes, if your new board is 1.0.5 as well.
