I have read and followed the direction precisely. I upload, to forum. Then i go to the install directory under forum. I see that all the files are there, but here is the message from my browser:

Not Found

The requested URL /forum/install.php was not found on this server.

[Secure NsHosts] Server at hxxp:missionsblogger.com [nonactive] Port 80

Please help, I have to have this up and running by Monday.

I'm having the same problem and I know it's in my wwwroot folder as forum. I've read all instrutions as well. Is it possible the files are corrupt.

Here is the error I get when attempting to run install.php;

HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

Are you sure your server has PHP?

barricademan

Just a hunch, but it could also be that you uploaded some of the files in the wrong mode.

Mode? I'll redownload the files again and give it another shot. I know I have PHP installed because I have and old version of YaBBSE and the install.php comes up just fine on it.
