Hi,

I will embed SMF in my website, which is kind of a selfcoded portal. For this I don't want to bother the user with logging in twice, for the forum and for portal functions. So, how can i prevent this? I guess I need two functions: First the user can login from my site into the forum. And second (and somehow more important ;)) I have to check within portal functions whether the user is logged in or he isnt, yet.

Any hints? I would be very grateful for some :).

Search for SSI, it is exactly the thing you want ;)

Thats correct SSI can do that but the thing is, can SSI not log you in to the forums instead to the page you're currently at. Co'z the SSI sample does redirect you to the forums after logging in.

Is there a way for SSI or a code to make it redirect to the current page and not directly to the forum index?

Hoowah, the Login Forum & Website integration works like a charm now only thing is making one login for G2 and other systems work and it'll be just dandy.   :-\
