Integrading image + logo

I was wondering if i could use a image as a background for the header and also integrading the logo with it.
Also i would like to know if i could make the width really 100% because now theres a space open on the left and right side?

The space on the left and right side may be due to a margin.  You are going to have to set your margins to zero, if they already aren't.
