SMF1.1RC1 install problems

Performed actions:

This is my second attempt at installing SMF, the first one with 1.05 had problems when using a 1.1 theme and trying to upgrade to 1.1. I uninstalled everything, removing all files, including hidden, and deleting the database from plesk. I then tried a clean re-install, step by step:

1. Downloaded the SMF1.1RC install, extracted, uploaded to httpdocs/forum
2. Created database through Plesk (2nd on the server, host allows more)
3. Install.php and all the steps that follow, everything seemed to work and the home page loaded.

Problems:
1. Could not delete the defaul SMF welcome post on the forum

I will add this topic for the attention of the dev's regarding problems installing on a Plesk server.

Not sure if this is your own server or one you are hosted on but it would be a good idea to upgrade your MySQL server.

It is hosted, and I'm not sure if they will upgrade the MySQL on request.

I also have an active e107 portal/forum on the same account, which probably supports a more advanced MySQL version. It is critical as an archive. Will asking them to upgrade risk loosing that database?
Never used the backup files, unknown if it will work.

Please tell me if more information is required. Thank you.
