unread boards wrongly indicated as marked as read

Hi, I've just notied that when I posted to a child board (linked from 'show new replies to your posts'), and then viewed the forum inex page, the parent board was indicated as read. I did not visit the parent board.

A bug, or is there some logic to this that escapes me?
