Integration or Customization?

I am a total novice and do not know where to begin. I'm not even sure this is the correct section to post this question. Perhaps someome will take pity on me and point me in the correct direction. I tried to search for the answer but all the discussions are WAY over my head.

Built a simple 4 page website in Dreamweaver. Set the server technology as PHP MySQL when I set up the site.

Hosting company offered SMF as a free enhancement. Installed it. Love it. Customers love it. The only problem is that I cannot get customers back to the rest of my pages. Do I customize SMF with links to my other pages? Or do I build a page with my normal links and graphics and then insert (integrate?) SMF?

Whatever you suggest, please gently point me in the correct direction because I don't have a clue how to do either one.
