Layout Problem after Install - Confused

Hey all - I have installed the SMF Forum with a programmers help.  The site it is currently on is http://www.getloanscheap.com [nofollow] - under the menu structure called Forum.

I use Joomla on everything so that might be some of the issue already since I have had to add the bridge mod and some script into the site to make the log in - into Joomla and SMF work at the same time - as per SMF Request.

The Layout is messed up and the code is wrong on it - what did we do wrong - never seen this one before.  If anyone can help us with this issue that would be awesome.

Hey and thanks for the reply,

The Only problem I see with that is, I am already over my head with knowledge about programming, lol... I love getting in deep on things I don't know anything about, fun.

I see the code and know how to copy & paste code into code, but not sure where to put that.  I did look up the page you said, it is in the Template section of the SMF folders - there are 2 templates in there, both have that same file, just tweaked for that certain template.

They both (Files - index.template.php) are much longer than what you gave me to put in there?  Do I just replace the whole page with what you gave me?  or what?  Again I hate to sound stupid but trying very hard to get this fixed with any help.

The poster above is suggesting you locate the code information in your index.template file and replace the code with what he posted above. Copy & paste a search for the information below and replace it with what has been provided in this post.

   Well I have tried that one and it didn't work, at least I don't see that it did.  I was looking through  the page in FireFox and I.E. both, both come up very bad.

I mean the forum really comes up messed up - but when viewing the code via - view page source from browser I noticed out of place header content in the body tag - and alot of them are not closed properly.

I just can't seem to find the page to fix to make this work right again.

I need help fast on this issue, please...

Any help would be awesome - as I really want to use this great forum.  We did install phpBB but just don't like the feel and isn't as powerful to me personally as SMF is...  SO I want to work this out and get it up and working well on here.

P.S.  The Code I see when pulling via the View Page Source code from my browser is below - weird codeing... I think it is the problem - we have done a few clean installs as well - doesn't work on this side.  Look at where the mosmainbody tag starts - you will see what I mean then... You will find it is a mess in I.E. as well as FireFox

I suggest using Orstio's bridge instead of the one from JoomlaHacks. You'll have better luck with Orstio's bridge.
