Regarding custom profile fields

If $context[member][options][anything_here] creates and displays a custom profile field within the smf_themes table, how can I display a profile field which I make MANUALLY using phpAdmin from the smf_members table? The problem is that the way data is arranged on the smf_themes table, it makes it extremely difficult to perform complex queries on this table.

So basically, I will be creating new fields on the SMF_MEMBERS table, using phpAdmin and I need to know the syntax used to display these newly created fields, on the profile page. Thanks for any help on this.
