Upgrading 1.0.5 to 1.1

Please help me,

Whats the easiest way to do this, i've tried downloading the update_smf_1.1.zip then uplaoding through pakcage manager but that doesn't work, so how do i do it?

Please tell me the easiest way. Also, is there a chance that my theme won't (im not using defualt theme)...

First thing you need to do is backup your database and files.  Then using your FTP client upload the files from upgrade package.  After that just run upgrade.php
