when i updated a few weeks ago to 1.1.1 and checked my detailed version check -  i got

    my version              current version

Language Files 1.0         1.1 RC1

that was 2 weeks ago all is still OK even inspite of the fact the language files did not update.

after updating to RC2 i have this

my version                                  current version

SMF Package SMF 1.1 RC2           SMF 1.1 RC2

Sources 1.1 RC2-1                              1.1 RC2

Default Templates 1.1 RC2                  1.1 RC2

Language Files 1.0                              1.1 RC2

Current Templates 1.1 RC1                  1.1 RC2

that's 2 stright times the language files did not update and add to that the current templates did not this time.

so where do i get current 1.1 RC2 language files and current 1.1RC2 current templates files??

and once i have them what do i do, upload them like the upgrade? and overwrite existing files?

as i said nothing at all seems wrong with my forum but it is obvious i am missing some files. thanks for any help.

Yes, upload and overwrite. Those files come with upgrade packace also.

And current templates, that means your theme. If you dont use default theme, you should update that manually.

thanks for your help, i uploaded that file, and it made no changes. which i tried to do on the 1.1.1 upgrade a few weeks ago, it just will not take whatever is missing as described above.

WizardKnight

i even uploaded the contents of that file one by one and still no change from what i showed above.

Upload that to your forums root and run it. Click all those blue lines and save. That has helped me one time before in similar situation.

babylon and classic have a language file but does not consisit of all the files the default one has here is what the other 2 have:

Themes/babylon/languages Settings.english.php

<?php
// Version: 1.1 RC2; Settings

$txt['theme_thumbnail_href'] = $settings['images_url'] . '/thumbnail.gif';
$txt['theme_description'] = 'The babylon theme from Simple Machines.<br /><br />Thanks go to Babylonking and Alienine.';

?>
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Themes/classic/languages Settings.english.php

<?php
// Version: 1.1 RC2; Settings

$txt['theme_thumbnail_href'] = $settings['images_url'] . '/thumbnail.gif';
$txt['theme_description'] = 'The classic look that introduced the groundbreaking PHP/MySQL port of YaBB and distinguished it through two years of development until its rebirth as SMF.<br /><br />Author: <i><a href="mailto:[email protected]">The YaBB SE Team</a></i>.';

?>

like i said those do not have all the files as default langauges does, just one file in each
