I'm trying to do change private messages so that last one is on top. (private messages only, not posts in topics)
I can see option field in each users profile for that, but can not find where to set default value for all users.

Cold you please tell me where is that setting in database, so I could change it manually by SQL to all users ?

Admin configurable. No need for MySQL query. 

For SMF 1.1:
Admin / Themes and Layout Settings / Reset Options / Reset all member's current options for this theme / Show most recent personal messages at top

Or are you using 1.0? It is a little different for that.

Thanks, I found it.
I'm using 1.0.5.
Did not move to 1.1. RC2 - it's says that it's not recommended until final release.
And I have just been burned using phpBB - some worm killed my dedicated server, so I'm being careful now
