some technical questions

im trying to make a block for mkportal which would display the top stats and newest members on the index page.

so i just wanted to ask which file does the smf stats page use to display its stats?

how can i have the last 5 members displayed?

any help would be appretiated

ssi.php is used for that you can pull out with that.
like 
< ?php ssi_latestMember(); ?>      for newest member and so on check ssi_example.php in smf
             like your site/forum/ssi_examples.php
