That's right you just need to center it now. center tags for the html code around it.

Not sure if anyone on the hacks team is familiar with bitcoin. but, would it be possible to on the ad seller pro version to make use of the coinbase.com api and not just paypal ?

This way people can sell ad space using bitcoin.

Possible but would require a large investment of my time which I probably don't have.

Would you be willing to invest enough time just to see if you can get a rough estimate of just how much time it might take ? It wouldn't be an over night thing anyway, just something you can work on when you have a bit of time here or there etc.

Fair enough, was worth asking but ya... I think, for me anyway, bitcoin acceptance in the pro version would be pretty sweet.

Here's hoping at some point it crosses your mind ;-)

Nice mod, just installed it and bought the ad free version. Is it possible to show the ads in between random posts rather than just picking which ones?

In 1.1.21 the welcome area ad was on the right hand side.
In my 2.0.10 version, this ad is immediately below the "Show new replies to your post" and the date, which pushes it all down a bit when there is a nice space under the search bar.

How can I change this?

vbgamer45

Modify the index.template.php that is where it is located in.

Not much help!
Index.template.php is where?  is it the one in the default files folder?
Modify what with what?
Nothing in this one that looks anything like my ad code.

vbgamer45

In the themes/default/index.template.php file. Or you custom theme's folder. You would need to play with the code and adjust the welcome position.

more to the point -- your specific ad code will not be in that file...    the ad manager code will be in the file and you'll have to play around with moving the ad manager calls to the various blocks

So what do I need to do with this?
// Begin Ad  management Location - Welcome Area/User Information Box

if (function_exists("show_welcomeAds"))
{
$ads = show_welcomeAds();
if(!empty($ads))
{
echo '<td class="windowbg2">';
if($ads['type']==0)
echo $ads['content'];
else
eval($ads['content']);
echo '</td>';
}
unset($ads);
}

// End Ad  management Location - Welcome Area/User Information Box
[/b]

No mention of "position"  "below"or "left" or anywhere!

It would also be useful to know how to put two different ads in the same location as in this forum.

Kindred

we don't use this mod here on this forum...

but neither do we have "two different ads in the same location"

the code that you quoted indicates right in the comment which ad-box it is
... Location - Welcome Area/User Information Box

the placement is based on where - in the index.template.php code that block that you quoted gets called...
for example...
put it just before the linktree call... or just under the logo call... etc and so forth...   you will likely have to experiment with some CSS styling/placement depending....

vbgamer --   why do you not define each ad block with its own ID/class for the div?

actually sometimes we do... the ad for the docs/wiki shows above the first linktree, so 2 ads in the same location.

In old version i have this Ad and work great :

<script language="JavaScript1.2">

var variableslide=new Array()

variableslide[0]=['http://i.imgur.com/cQxxxxx.jpg', 'http://xxxxx/Greek-Zone.php"target="_blank"target="_blank"', '']
variableslide[1]=['http://i.imgur.com/cxxxhK.jpg', 'http://xxxxxx/Greek-Zone.php"target="_blank"', '']
variableslide[2]=['http://i.imgur.com/xxxxsdhK.jpg', 'http://xxxxxx/index.php?topic=7296.0"target="_blank"', '']
variableslide[3]=['http://i.imgur.com/xxxxxdhK.jpg', 'http://www.xxxxxl.gr/"target="_blank"', '']

var slidewidth='545px'
var slideheight='125px'
var slidebgcolor='#F3F3F3'

var slidedelay=4000

var ie=document.all
var dom=document.getElementById

for (i=0;i<variableslide.length;i++){
var cacheimage=new Image()
cacheimage.src=variableslide[i][0]
}

var currentslide=0

function rotateimages(){
contentcontainer='<center>'
if (variableslide[currentslide][1]!="")
contentcontainer+='<a href="'+variableslide[currentslide][1]+'">'
contentcontainer+='<img src="'+variableslide[currentslide][0]+'" border="0" vspace="3">'
if (variableslide[currentslide][1]!="")
contentcontainer+='</a>'
contentcontainer+='</center>'
if (variableslide[currentslide][2]!="")
contentcontainer+=variableslide[currentslide][2]

if (document.layers){
crossrotateobj.document.write(contentcontainer)
crossrotateobj.document.close()
}
else if (ie||dom)
crossrotateobj.innerHTML=contentcontainer
if (currentslide==variableslide.length-1) currentslide=0
else currentslide++
setTimeout("rotateimages()",slidedelay)
}

if (ie||dom)
document.write('<div id="slidedom" style="width:'+slidewidth+';height:'+slideheight+'; background-color:'+slidebgcolor+'"></div>')

function start_slider(){
crossrotateobj=dom? document.getElementById("slidedom") : ie? document.all.slidedom : document.slidensmain.document.slidenssub
if (document.layers)
document.slidensmain.visibility="show"
rotateimages()
}

if (ie||dom)
start_slider()
else if (document.layers)
window.onload=start_slider

</script>

<ilayer id="slidensmain" width=&{slidewidth}; height=&{slideheight}; bgColor=&{slidebgcolor}; visibility=hide><layer id="slidenssub" width=&{slidewidth}; left=0 top=0></layer></ilayer>

I cant see where it says "right" in the code.
I think the problem is because I still have SMF forums logo taking up this space being forced down there by my banner picture.
