Member permissions based on profile field.

Ok, I know this has been done on the gender field but I can't find a thread about the actual code.

I want to have some boards that can only be accessed/viewed by members that have a profile field set to match the board. (e.g. only males can access the mens board andonly females can access the ladies board)

There is a mod for this, but the thing is I don't want it based off gender, I wanted based off a custom profile field that I'm going to add.
