Using forum on site with and without www (cookies)

Hi,

this is probably a stupid question.

We have a site hxxp:www.asite.com [nonactive].
When using smf the forum remembers me and keeps me logged in.
But when using hxxp:asite.com [nonactive] (without the www), I have to login again.

Is there anyway to change this behaviour?

Lik I said, supid question.

I found the posts about the setting "use domain independent cookies" in "features and options" (translated from dutch).
