Rss to Smf Hack Needed

I have been through the board and there is various topics about rss injectors and rss to smf but none are very good.

Is there an rss to smf poster that works?

I am posting this to try and find as much info as i can before i go off and spend weeks and $$ getting one custom written.

I found one on this boards bit it is a very basic hack and dosent work so well.

I also see a lot of people saying they are going to make one and then they never follow up on the thread.

Anyone got any info before i get started hiring coders and putting a plan together?

I see there is a non-free tool available at a monthly fee.... but that's not cool.  I'd hesitate at even paying a one-time fee, let alone one that recurs monthly!
There is a mod by netclectic for phpBB that does exactly the job that I want.  Maybe I'll just hack at that mod until I get something to work for SMF.... or maybe I'll just stick with the otherwise crappier phpBB because I'm lazy and I really like collecting newsfeeds for free.

Try a search, perhaps in this or the tricks board.  I recall someone did something that do it, if it was only experimental.

I have found one and i am working on it to make it as functional as possible.
Its is a bit raw but seems to work.
