Membegroup Access Restriction throughout a site

Hi,

I tried to search for a previous thread on this subject, but the search is down atm.

I am looking for this:

I would like certain membergroups to have access to a certain part of my website.  Other membergroups and guests should see a page that tells them how to sign up for access to those parts of my website.  These parts live outside my forum.  So basically I'm looking for user authentication on other page, outside of the forums.
