Help Locating Smiley Code?

I'd like to try displaying my smileys in the middle of the lines, instead of on top. The only mod I can find, SmileysAlign, wont work with 1.1RC2. Could somebody point me to the location of the smiley code, so I can tweak it myself? I'm not sure where to start looking...

Got it.  For the record, if anybody else is ever looking, the magic lines are in /Sources/Subs.php, around line 2413. (Or search for '$smileytocache[]').

I added a style="vertical-align: -20%" in there, and it works well for me; your results may vary, I'd imagine!
