After I delete something..

It goes into the Deleted Posts recycle board.

Now that's fine, but if I want to replace the post because it has been deleted for a bad reason (say a user insults someone, the person replies but the original poster deletes their post, making it look like the second reply was to someone else) I cannot place the post back into it's position.

In vB you can lace posts back into their place, how would I do this?

That is a long thing to do.

Move the deleted post to the board it was originally in.
Split the original topic from the point the post was deleted.
Merge the three topics now.

I hope someone (maybe I) will make a mod for that.

When you merge topics the posts are arranged by their date. It shouldn't matter where they were before the merge, even in the recycle.

Move the deleted post to the board it was originally in.
Merge the two topics.

I'm asking for a mod/edit which will allow me to just enter the post back into the thread at the click of a button.

at this stage its just a thread of the post you can place back

well unfortuanataly there isn't one right now. Hopefully someone (maybe me) will make one.

Post moderation is a pretty serious feature. It's actually almost here now in this Dev Edition

But that will be some time before it gets to you.

eldacar, I don't see what post moderation has to do with this...This is just about when you delete something to the recycling bin, you can restore it with a single click.

Well that's a part of post moderation.
The topics in the recycle bin don't remember where they came from, so it's a pretty serious mod however it's done.
