HELP! Session confilct - Warning: Unknown(): A session is active

Session issue in Subs.php line 316

If I try to add any DB query from my site to my Theme template I get the error below in Internet Explorer and Opera but not Firefox. Firefox displays the page fine but won't hold my Login session (keeps asking for it on every link I click). IE will try to load the page 3 times then display a blank page or partial page and the error. Opera displays the page and the error at the bottom of the page.
