I want to ask if I can emtpy the back_smf_TABLES,
without this to cause any problems to the rest.
BTW these are the above tables being created automatically or from admin panel->Backup forum?

Thanks

The backup_{prefix}_{tablename} are created when you upgrade your forum from, let's say, 1.0.7 to 1.1RC2. When you use the Admin CP to backup the database, it will create a .sql-file you can save on your own PC.

IF you converted to a new version, AND all is running well, then you can make a backup to your PC using PHPMyAdmin and delete them from the database.

Greetz!!

Thanks, this unburdens the database and decreases its size by half
