All users on my forum (smf 1.0 beta 4.1 on IIS5 Win 2003 Server) cannot stay logged in. No matter what they set as time limit for login, once the browser is closed they have to log in again even if session is set to "forever".

2003 Server uses IIS 6, doesn't it?  At least my 2003 editions do... not that it matters....

Your server doesn't seem to be sending any cookies at all - whether session cookies or login cookies.  Strange.

Yes you are correct IIS6.Any ideas for no cookies?

tmorg

Changing the cookie time alone made no difference. Do I need to make changes also to the loginout.php or other scripts to make this work?

I have the same problem, If you find anything out please let me know.

As do I, Windows 2000 server running IIS 5.0. I tried the fixes in http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=7721.0, but they don't seem to work for me. It's not the server not sending headers, because on my main site, I can set cookies just fine for administrators.

I think it's the code, but don't know enough about it to try to fix it.

Some (not all) of my users are having this issue as well:

Your forum URL differs from the actual URL:

http://soi-guild.homeip.net/forums/index.php

This *could* cause problems for some people logging in.  Can I see a phpinfo?

VertigoRay

Sorry about the delay ... busy, etc ...

Here's the phpinfo() for that server ...

hxxp:vertigoray.homeip.net/test/test.php [nonactive]

If they use the http://www.shadowsofimmortality.org/forums URL, they won't be logged on until they click somewhere else.

Otherwise, it looks okay to me.
