I was just on a phpBB forum, and they had this cool feature. There was a button beside the Edit button, and if you clicked it, it listed all the members who had viewed the thread, and how many times they viewed the thread.

Is there a similar feature or hack for SMF?

well there isnt to my knowledge... so this turns out to be a feature request.

Its not a feature, or a mod. I see a problem with it though, on a board with a lot of members and posts, it'd slow to a crawl, thats a LOT of data to process to get that.
