RSS Feeds as posts

I have a mod on a Phpbb forum which allows me to create 'news bots'.

Basically i set up a username and select an RSS feed for the bot to publish i can then periodically run the script and hey presto each new piece of news on the rss feed is published just like a post.

Is there anything similar to this for SMF? I really want to add this feature to my site.
