Help!

I am putting up a 'control panel' in the index.template.php. When user gets logged in, they'll get to see

left column (user info):
user name
totoal login time
avatar
registration date
email

right column (functional menus):
buddylist
search
...

the problem is 'registration date' and 'email address' fail to display. I cut and pasted the code from 'profile.template.php', which are:  ', $context['user']['registered'], ' and ', $context['member']['email'], ' respectively.

anyone know the correct way to do this? many thanks.
