Sending a PM from a totally different script / Helpdesk solution

Hello,

I've been wanting for a while now to install a "helpdesk" type script for me and my mods to use because it's getting to hard to deal with people's questions over PM and email. So I downloaded this script called Hesk which I love so far. It's so nice and simple. And I've been tweaking it here and there (using SMF SSI functions) so it automatically knows the forum username and email of the user logging the ticket and so on. I can't wait to start using it!

One thing I'd love to do though, is every time Hesk sends an email to the user, I'd also like to have it send a PM to that user saying the same thing. There are only a few places in the Hesk code where it send emails so what I'd love to do is go to each of those places and just drop in a line of code that sends a PM as well.

I'm good at tweaking existing PHP scripts but it's a bit beyond me to know how to get this Hesk script to be able to call the "sendpm" function in the SMF script.

Any ideas as to how I can do this? It would save my day!  :D

And I can share how I got all this working together once this part it solved!
