Looks like RC3 is almost here  8)

I don't think so, I don't understand what happened ...

Many developers have gone away or am I wrong?

Arantor

Not everyone who contributes is on the team. But yes, a number of people who worked on 2.1 are no longer team members (like me)

I'm assuming that's because if one looks at GitHub, one can discover the number of issues left for RC3 is very low. But it has been very low for some time now.

To give some hope I think this is the highest I have seen rc3, be good to get some of them fixed as some of the milestones have been sitting for a while

It was down to 1 issue some weeks back and just sat there on 1 issue outstanding - and it looks like we're back to that when taking into account the things tagged 'has fix' (which have been tagged as such for maybe 2 months...)

Is RC3 compatible with PHP 7.4?

Has it been tested on any beta versions of 8.0?

Before worrying about 8.0, worry about actual testing on 7.4.

That's why I like your answers!
My real website has been at PHP7.4.8 for months and no errors!

I've been watching this for quite a while now and I know exactly what you mean. Those last three just sitting there is driving me insane. I want RC3 so bad!

As far as PHP 7.4.x goes, I've had zero issues other than the known RC2 log bugs, and I've been keeping up with the latest release versions of PHP and MySQL lately. I would love to test RC3 for any PHP issues, but...ya know. :P

For RC3 are we literally just waiting for the pull request to be implemented?
