Full answer from my server
Hi,

We have tested a new installation of SMF on http://testforum.anixekai.com/testforum

This installation is done by Softaculous Auto Installer. We have tested the forum function, and we are able to Add/Reply to the topic.

We are unable to provide further support as SMF is third party script. You can try disable all plugins / Mods on the forum and try again.

Maybe you didn't phrase your question properly to them.

You need to know if your hosting account has logged any HTTP 500 errors in the server error log so you can further troubleshoot your problem.

Any server I have ever setup was properly setup with logging to capture the proper errors in the proper logs, so they should have this information.

Maybe, i will resubmit it again. :)

The question will be like this (not good in this stuff) :

Hi,
I has spoken to the SMF support team regarding to the errors that my forum( my website address )  is facing which was , unable to reply in the thread or open a topic as it lead me to this error page :

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://anixekai.com/forum/index.php?action=post;board=1.0. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

The SMF team has suggest that there might be a server configuration issue and i has checked the error log from my cpanel and found that there got no any HTTP 500 error in the last 300 errors,  so  i would like to request you for a check in the server log whether my hosting account had logged any HTTP 500 errors , so that the SMF team able to further troubleshoot the problem.

Thank you.

Is the message ok? I am not good at it >.<

This is the answer from my host:

Hi, we have checked on our server, everything is running fine.
And the previous Error 500 is due to you forum folder and index.php are not set to the correct permission.

Now you can click on the forum link, you can see it shows a blank page and no error logged in cPanel.
This means there is some issue on the script or the .htacess configuration.
That's why we advise you to remove all the mods and plugin and try again.

We are unable to probive detailed support on this due to it is out from our support scope.

now what shall i do?

eric1234

alright, can somebody help me to solve it? I was willing to give a ftp account to you guys as this issue is beyond my capability and knowledges of SMF and i kinda frustrated with this issue that suddenly appeared from nowhere. >.<

This means that they have imposed limits on how the file permissions can be set. Usually it means that files can not be chmod 777, but should be 755 instead if you need them writable.

This IS however something that your hosts support should be capable of explaining to you, since the limits are theirs - not SMF's.
The server error log usually logs HTTP 500 errors, mentioning SPECIFIC files that cause the error, and what the reason for the error was. Seeing those logs, would help you greatly - because then you would know what files you need to be looking at.
