Running 2.0.17

Can't post.
Database Error: Incorrect string value: '\xB0 and ...' for column 'body' at row 1
File: C:\inetpub\Astralan\smf\Sources\Subs-Post.php
Line: 1834

No add-ons, however I did import the forum content from an older DB. I suspect maybe the import rearranged for that board (it was the only one I really wanted. But I did import every board and some allow me to post simple topic text just fine).

Other issue is it reports any attachment can't be saved because the folder is not writeable. I have doublechecked this and it's wide open for anything.
I upgraded from 2.0.7. That release did everything it was suppose to do.

I did have this working at one time, but I'm no rocket scientist. I have no real programming skills, so bear that in mind when/if responding.
Thanks in advance. -Brian

The DB is not. Says I can convert, so I assume that is a negative. -Brian

Did you copy and paste posts from Word?

astralan

moving to utf8 fixed my posting issues.
