Under Maintenance When Trying To Register New Member

I've just installed my new forum and have had no problems with it except for that when I try to register as a new member to test the forum's registry it gives a maintenance message and won't let me register.

Might sound like a daft question, but is your forum actually in maintenance mode?

Admin > Configuration > Server Settings > General > Enable Maintenance Mode

Not a daft question at all. In fact, a solution. Thanks. I tried to figure out how to determine if it wasn't but just couldn't find the answer.

Sorry, I figured it was a daft question as I assumed you'd checked maint mode first.
