Just as the subject says I am unable to connect to simplemachines.org's latest news file from the admin center. Error log is clear, running smf 2.0.7 and noticed this because I wanted to download the pacth to upgrade to 2.0.8 :-\
Mods installed? So many but it used to work with all of them installed afaik... Btw:

A few of these might be disabled, for instance I have like 3 shoutboxes but 2 of them are disabled ofc :P

EDIT: I just upgraded to 2.0.8 :D but still nothing in that box.

That's usually a temporary issue that goes away by itself.

Like I said I would have bumped this in case I had problems and well I do have.
I have been online quite a lot of time but still nothing in the box for 2 days now, also under that box I can see this:

I don't get those 2 "??" either. Sounds as if the site was really unable to connect to smf.org to check the stuff although it automatically asked me to upgrade after manually fetching the files using the Admin-->Maintenance command.

I can't remember from memory which Scheduled Task updates that, but if you go to (Admin > Maintenance > Scheduled Tasks) and check all the tasks Run Now box and hit the Run Now button, that should solve it for you.

I ran them all and I'm sorry to disagree :( it didn't, ah and already deleted cache and ctrl+f5. Still same.

then you have an issue with your host connecting to sm.org. nothing we can do to help that.

Can I disagree? When I was using the package manager to download mods (wrong thing, now I know) it was working, also when I try to retrieve the files informations the forum *can* connect to smf.org as it can tell me the current file versions and the versions I have installed. Also my host didn't change anything in its configuration so I might disagree about that.

Yes but what do I have to do? Send them a ticket? Like I said they didn't change anything as far as I know so... But well if you tell me I should do that I do that no problem but I am not expecting an adfirmative answer to that ticket. And also my host afaik doesn't have tickets but only the support forum where the moderators are everywhere and answer everyone :)
So shall I ask for support there?

dude its your choice if your host doesnt have support tickets then I would look elsewhere purley community support for hosting is not good, but how you contact them is up to you really not SMF :P

Yeah you got it actually. I just made a topic for my other problem regarding emails not being sent and I guess I'm just gonna make another one. I'll let you know in some time. Thank you all for your replies :D
